Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up
School Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
- Morning Drop-Off: Students can enter the building at 6:30 am. Early arrival is suggested because FM 2090 may get congested in the morning. Students should be dropped off in the circle drive. Please do not drop students off in the student or teachers' parking lot. Students should come inside the building and not linger outside or in closed-off areas.
- Transportation Changes: To ensure student safety and security, all transportation changes must be emailed by a parent or guardian to shsbuspasses@splendoraisd.org no later than 1:00 PM. Please note that we cannot accept transportation changes over the phone.
- Early Check-Out Policy: Students needing an early dismissal for appointments must be checked out before 2:15 PM. To ensure student safety and maintain efficient traffic flow, check-outs are not permitted after 2:15 PM. After this time, students must be picked up through the regular car-rider line.
Dismissal Information
- Driveway A: Traffic on FM 2090 will be stopped to allow all buses to exit the high school simultaneously. There will be a 15-minute window during which vehicles will not be allowed to enter or exit this driveway.
- Driveway B: The high school's main entrance has a traffic signal. Parents are allowed to enter and exit there once they have picked up their student. Please encourage student car riders to arrive at the front of the school promptly and to look for their designated ride.
- Driveway C: The teachers' parking lot is closed for entrance and exit. The driveway will be blocked off after 2:00 pm.
- Driveway D: The student parking lot driveway is monitored by Splendora ISD Police to ensure that students exit only into the eastbound and westbound lanes of FM 2090. Students, staff, and parents will not be allowed to enter this driveway between 2:00 pm and 3:15 pm.
