SHS Academic Eligibility and Schedule Changes

• Students must maintain a minimum grade of 70% to receive course credit and remain eligible to participate in UIL activities.

• Grade checks are conducted at the 3rd, 6th, and 9th weeks of each nine-week grading period.

• During the first nine-week grading period only, students may lose eligibility at the 6-week and 9-week grade checks.

• Students may regain eligibility at the 3-week and 6-week grade checks.

• At the end of each nine-week grading period, students may either gain or lose eligibility based on their grades.

No schedule changes will occur unless the counselor initiates them (for class balancing purposes).
