Cultivating Exceptional People

Splendora Early College High School

Splendora Early College High School (ECHS) is a school-within-a-school model located on the Splendora High School campus. It provides students with the opportunity to earn both a high school diploma and college credit at no cost. Through a strong partnership with Lone Star College-Kingwood, students engage in rigorous academics while receiving personalized support to prepare for college, careers, and beyond.

Through the Early College High School Program, students can earn up to 60 college credit hours, with a minimum goal of being Core Complete (42 hours) and the opportunity to earn an Associate Degree before graduating high school. These opportunities allow students to accelerate their education while building a strong foundation for continued success in college, careers, and beyond.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Splendora ECHS was recognized as Designated with Distinction by the Texas Education Agency for excellence in Attainment, Access, and Achievement. This designation reflects its commitment to academic excellence, student success, and expanding access to higher education opportunities.

Meet the Team

The Early College High School Blueprint identifies five benchmarks as the model's foundational elements and describes essential design elements for each benchmark. The Blueprint defines outcomes-based measures (OBMs) for required data indicators related to access, achievement, and attainment.
