According to the SHS handbook, students are not allowed to bring food into the classroom. The only drink allowed during class is WATER.

  • Only water is permitted during class time.
  • Food is not allowed in the classroom or the hallway. The only exception is food provided by the teacher (ex:  class reward, etc.). If the teacher provides food, it should be finished during class time.
  • Students are allowed to drink water during class as long as it does not cause a disruption.
  • Administration reserves the right to determine what constitutes a reasonable number of beverages and appropriate container use.
  • Students ARE NOT allowed to go to vending machines during class time. Vending machines are to be utilized during the designated times (breakfast, lunch, and afterschool). All students are required to eat in the cafeteria during their designated lunch, not in a classroom, office, or library for any reason.
