Parking Lot Rules and Permit

Splendora High School is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful campus environment. Students must abide by all state, county, city, and school traffic regulations at all times. Students who fail to adhere to the following rules and regulations may have their parking privileges suspended or revoked.

Permit Requirements & Fees

  • Privilege: Parking on campus is a privilege that may be suspended or revoked by SHS administration if rules are violated.
  • Eligibility: Students must present a valid driver's license and proof of insurance to be eligible for a parking permit.
  • Cost: Students must request a parking permit and pay a fee of $50.00 to park in a school parking lot. Parking Permits are issued throughout the year as long as space remains available.

Prohibited Driving and Parking Behaviors
To ensure student safety, students are not permitted to:

  • Speed
  • Double-park
  • Park across a white or yellow line
  • Park in a designated fire lane
  • Sit in parked vehicles during school hours

Violations may result in disciplinary action, and the district reserves the right to tow vehicles parked in violation of these rules.

The Numbers: Understanding Our Parking Capacity

Our campus has a fixed number of parking spaces. To ensure daily school operations run safely and smoothly, the spaces are divided as follows:

  • Total Campus Spaces: 420 spots
  • Faculty, Staff, & Visitor Reserved Spaces: 185 spots
  • Available Student Spaces: 235 spots

We recognize that 235 student spaces are limited and not ideal for our growing student body. To ensure these spots are distributed as fairly and efficiently as possible, we have established a structured application process for the 2026–2027 school year.

Parking Permit Purchase Dates:

  • Seniors:  Purchasing opens July 22, 2026 in SchoolCash Online
  • Seniors/Juniors:  Purchasing opens August 1, 2026 in SchoolCash Online
  • All Students:  Purchasing opens August 8, 2026 in SchoolCash Online

Note: Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. When the 235 spots have been filled, we will send out a communication that spots are no longer available.

After your parking permit application is complete, the office staff will review your application. You will receive an email notifying you whether your parking pass request has been approved or denied.
