Student Food and Drink Delivery Procedures

To help maintain a safe and secure campus while allowing students to receive food or drink deliveries, Splendora High School has established the following procedures for all food or drink delivered by parents, guardians, or family members. All deliveries are to be made through the Front Entrance; provide an ID to enter the building, stating the name of the student upon entry, then leave the delivery on the designated table in the vestibule area.

  1. Students are not permitted to utilize or receive DoorDash, GrubHub, Uber Eats, or other food delivery services.
  2. Students are not allowed to leave classrooms to pick up food deliveries.
  3. Staff should not purchase food through a third-party vendor (DoorDash, GrubHub, etc) for students.
  4. All food or drink deliveries must be left on the designated table located in the front office vestibule. Students and staff are responsible for retrieving their own orders.
  5. Students may retrieve food or drink deliveries only during their assigned lunch period.
  6. Deliveries may not be made to any other location on campus, including exterior doors, classrooms, parking lots, athletic facilities, or other campus buildings. Students who direct deliveries to locations other than the front office vestibule are subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
  7. Splendora High School and Splendora ISD assume no responsibility or liability for food or drink deliveries, including, but not limited to, items that are lost, stolen, misplaced, delayed, incorrect, damaged, or tampered with. The individual placing the order assumes all responsibility for the delivery and its contents.
  8. School personnel are not responsible for accepting, monitoring, storing, or notifying students or staff when a food or drink delivery has arrived.
  9. Students are expected to comply with all campus procedures and the Student Code of Conduct when arranging food or drink deliveries from family members. All campus cell phone and personal electronic device policies remain in effect. Students should make arrangements for food or drink deliveries before arriving on campus whenever possible.

Splendora High School reserves the right to refuse or discontinue food or drink delivery privileges when these procedures are not followed or when deliveries interfere with campus safety, security, or the instructional environment. Students who violate these procedures are subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
