A Note From the Principal

Thank You, SHS Sweet Parents and Guardians!

What a wonderful start to the 2026–2027 school year! We want to sincerely thank our SHS parents and guardians for helping make the opening of school safe, smooth, and successful. Your partnership, support, and commitment to our students have made a tremendous difference as we begin an exciting year together.

Our Wildcats have made a strong first impression! Students are focused on getting to class on time, being prepared to learn, and putting their best effort into achieving academic excellence. It has been exciting to see our students embracing the expectations of SHS while demonstrating pride in themselves, their school, and their future.

Wildcat spirit is already filling our hallways! From the energy of our students to the excitement surrounding our Wildcat traditions, it is clear that something special is happening at SHS. We are only just getting started, and we cannot wait to see all that this school year has in store. Thank you for being an important part of the SHS family! Go Wildcats!

Attendance Matters

Wildcats, every minute matters!

A great school day starts with being here, being on time, and being ready to learn! We want to see you in class and ready to go each morning.

Doors Open: 6:30 AM

Be in Class: By 7:10 AM

Beginning Monday, 8/17, we will start recording tardies, so please plan ahead, arrive on time, and make sure you are in your classroom by 7:10 AM. Give yourself a few extra minutes to get settled, grab what you need, and make it to class on time!

Let's start the year strong, Wildcats! Show up. Be on time. Be ready. Make every minute count!

Senior Pictures

Traditions Portraits will be on campus Thursday, August 20, to capture Senior Portraits for students who did not have their portraits taken over the summer.

Please note: This session is not for Senior retakes. Senior retakes will take place in January.

If you still need your Senior Portrait taken, please come prepared to smile on August 20! We will be following a designated schedule based on your last name for Senior Portraits.

Upward Bound Scholars

Attention all UPWARD BOUND SCHOLARS, new and returning, we will be hosting our Fall Parent Orientation next Tuesday, 8.18.26 in the SHS Library from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, and dinner will be served. Please be sure to RSVP with your UB Advisor by Monday, August 17. This event is mandatory for all scholars, so plan to be present.

Student Parking

Students who have been assigned a parking space must pick up their parking pass no later than Monday, August 17, during their lunch period. See Mrs. Lisa Centeno in Room 1608.

Please make sure your parking pass is properly displayed in your vehicle before arriving on campus on Tuesday. Important: Students who do not have their assigned parking pass visibly displayed in their vehicle on Tuesday may be subject to disciplinary action.

Since our student parking spots are currently full, we are opening a Student Parking Waitlist for those interested in a spot if one becomes available.

Please complete the Google Form and answer every question. Spots are not guaranteed and will be offered as they become available based on the order of the waitlist (first come, first served).

When a parking spot becomes available, the next student on the list will receive an email with the next steps, including information about submitting the required documentation and completing payment.

Meet the Wildcats Night! 🐾

Kick off the new school year and show your school spirit! Join us for Meet the Wildcats on August 19 at 6:00 PM.

Come out to support and celebrate all our incredible high school athletes and student groups. The evening will feature introductions from all high school sports teams, cheerleading, dance, band, and ROTC. Bring your family, wear your school colors, and help us rally behind our students for a fantastic season ahead! We can't wait to see you there!

Splendora FFA Alumni Progress Show

Join us for the Splendora FFA Alumni Progress Show on Friday, August 21st, 2026, at the Splendora ISD Ag Barn (23747 FM 2090). Check-in runs from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and the show begins at 6:00 PM.

Quick Highlights:

Entry Fees: $20 per animal; $5 for showmanship (at the gate).
Show Order: Goats, lambs, steers, and swine.
Special Events: Cake auction (following the goat show) and on-site food trucks.
Eligibility: Open to Splendora ISD FFA and 4-H members only.

Pen space is first-come, first-served. All proceeds benefit the youth of Splendora FFA.
