Splendora High School has earned a TEA Designation with Distinction in all three categories—access, attainment, and achievement—as an Early College High School. Through our innovative school-within-a-school model, students have the opportunity to take advanced academic courses with the goal of becoming core complete (42 college credit hours). Many students go even further, graduating with an Associate’s Degree (60 college hours) while still enjoying the full high school experience.

Mission Statement

Early College students will work to achieve excellence in an environment where perseverance, adaptability, integrity, and reflection are cultivated and valued. Splendora Early College High School prides itself on building a strong support system for students by utilizing the collaboration of the right people, using the right things, in the right way, with the right resources, and forming the right relationships.

Admission Information

To join the Early College cohort, students must apply in the spring of their 8th-grade year. Splendora Early College High School is open to all students at no cost. Every 8th grader is eligible to apply, and accepted students commit to remaining in the program for the full four years under a no-exit policy.

The application must be completed online and can be found at the link here. For the 2026-2027 school year, the application will open in January 2026.

Please contact Bay Hill at bhill@splendoraisd.org with any questions about the program or the application submission process.

Students who do not apply for the Early College High School Program may still participate in advanced academic opportunities, including Pre-Advanced Placement (Pre-AP), Honors, Advanced Placement (AP), and dual credit courses.
